We have been producing orthopedic mats in Ukraine since 2013 and periodically encounter customer requests for sets of soft, medium or hard puzzles. From customers both in Ukraine and Europe.
All Ortek puzzles are made from one material - safe, hypoallergenic PVC without harmful impurities. But due to different textures and shapes, they feel different on the foot.
For the convenience of our customers, we have divided them into 3 groups.
Conventionally - because tactile sensations are still individual. For example, the same Pyramid puzzle may be pleasantly tingling for some, but too sharp for others.
Soft puzzles include: Grass, Shells, Pebbles, Mushrooms.
Medium puzzles: Towers, Hedgehogs, Sea, Acorns.
Harder puzzles: Pyramids, Thorns, Lotuses, Cones.
In Ortec sets we we specially combine puzzles of different hardness. Our feet are designed to walk on uneven surfaces. In the natural environment, a person walked on soft sand, hard branches, sharp stones. So the foot - the basis of our body - received the necessary load, trained, was strong and healthy. The same effect can be achieved by doing exercises on an Ortek mat (or simply by walking on it regularly).
Thanks to the different degrees of puzzle hardness, you can gradually increase the load and degree of impact as you get used to it - your feet adapt to hard surfaces and reliefs quite quickly. And if some elements still feel sharp, there is a simple life hack: you can put on socks. The thicker the socks, the less you feel the surface. Even thin fabric reduces sensitivity.
Another advantage of different puzzles in the set is that each family member will be able to find the texture that is most pleasant for them.
That is why we recommend our clients to buy sets of Ortek massage mats, even for small children. The benefits of various elements are undeniable - not only for massage and training, but also for sensory integration. But if for some purposes you still need to select only certain puzzles, you can choose individual pieces.
