What is “flatfoot”?
How is valgus foot formed? If treatment is ignored, flat valgus can lead to complex problems in the future: curvature of the spine, constant pain in the legs and back, arthritis, varicose veins, etc.
How to recognize pathology in the development of the feet?
Visually, the legs in the ankle and knee joints should be straight, without obvious deviation in any direction. Surely you have heard about the "X-shaped" position of the feet - this is exactly what is typical for hallux valgus: the pathology of the feet like a locomotive leads to curvature of the knee joints.
Observe how your child walks, how quickly he gets tired, pay attention to the position of the feet while walking.
If there is a factor of fatigue during walks, where the child usually behaves quite actively, if he complains that his legs are tired - this moment alone can be a reason to visit a specialist.
The shoes that the child wears can tell a lot. Look at how exactly the soles of his everyday shoes or shoes wear out. Ideally, the soles wear out evenly, without deviations in any direction. If the tread pattern wears out, for example, on one foot more than on the other, or with a bias towards the outer or inner side of the shoe, or towards the heel, then something has gone wrong and it is better to see a specialist, either to dispel doubts or to begin correcting the curvature, if it is diagnosed.

It is important to strictly follow the treatment plan prescribed by your doctor and not to give in to yourself - in your persistence, or to your child - in his whims, for example, to wear today not children's orthopedic shoes, but fashionable sneakers.
