Silicone insoles
Orthopedic silicone insoles
Due to the elastic, pliable, but sufficiently resilient material, silicone orthopedic insoles help to create an optimal microclimate for the foot inside the shoe, providing cushioning and relieving shock loads during sports, as well as while walking.
Why and in what cases should silicone insoles be used?
Silicone insoles can help minimize the harm from the non-physiological relief of fashionable, but unsafe from an orthopedic point of view shoes.
Do you like shoes with heels? Silicone inserts will reduce the pressure on the forefoot. Do you prefer flat models? The cushioning and elastic properties of the silicone insole will support the arch, preventing flat feet. Do you like sports? Then cushioning and support of the heel and arch of the foot are necessary.
Orthopedic insoles made of medical silicone, if the product has the correct special shape:
- improve blood circulation,
- absorb shock loads on the feet, ankles, knees and spine,
- provide effective unloading of the foot in the heel area,
- due to load distribution, prevent flattening of the arches of the feet, that is, prevent the formation of flat feet,
- create the effect foot massage,
- relieve fatigue and pain while walking in the presence of various diseases in the anamnesis (arthrosis, arthritis, varicose veins, diabetes, etc.), as well as in case of excess weight.
Silicone insoles are especially relevant for people with sensitive skin, as well as for those diagnosed with heel spurs or diabetic foot syndrome. Silicone insoles also alleviate the condition in the presence of calluses or corns.
Medical silicone, when in contact with the skin, helps to moisturize it, which has a positive effect on the dense skin of the feet, prone to drying out and, as a result, the occurrence of cracks.
Gel or silicone?
Many people confuse silicone and gel, believing that they are the same thing. Yes, these are modern polymer materials, and their characteristics are somewhat similar. They are comfortable, hygienic, hypoallergenic, easy to use and durable. Both silicone and gel insoles are used equally often, both have shock-absorbing properties, elasticity, as well as resilience and softness at the same time. However, there are some differences.
Silicone insoles are uniform, soft and mostly transparent. Transparency as an aesthetic property is indispensable for open shoes. There are models with a fabric coating, which gives the product maximum comfort. Such inserts are ideal for everyday wear. There are silicone inserts for certain areas of the foot, when it is necessary to provide support in specific areas and give the physiologically correct position to the longitudinal or transverse arch.
But gel insoles are mainly used for wearing with sports shoes. The design of such an insole is designed to soften the maximum loads on the foot and spine during intense sports. For effective support, the design includes several degrees of material rigidity. Taking into account the specific structure of the foot and zonal distribution of the load, levels of enhanced support are thought out. Where more serious support is required, the insole has high-density inserts. And where it is necessary to absorb the shock load, a softer and springier gel is used. As a rule, the levels of rigidity differ in color.

The insoles are made of medical silicone, and even taking into account the practicality and unpretentiousness of the material, they still require delicate care, which will extend the life of the orthopedic inserts.
Silicone insoles are washed with warm running water without adding detergents, and then dried with a textile napkin. If the insoles contain an additional fabric layer, it should be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not dry the products on heating devices!
