This dynamic splint provides a simple and effective way to restore combined flexion of the distal interphalangeal (DIP) and proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joints following injury or surgery.
The orthosis immobilizes and holds the fingers passively in extension. Active flexion supports auxiliary extension at the proximal interphalangeal joint.
Indications
- For flexion of the PIP and DIP joints;
- For injuries associated with the PIP and DIP;
- Rehabilitation after surgery;
- For ruptures of the finger extensors;
- For injuries to the phalanges of the fingers.
The orthosis is available in three sizes:
- S - finger girth 4.5-5 cm
- M - finger girth 5-6 cm
- L - finger girth 6-7 cm
The finger girth should be measured at the upper phalanx.
Fixed with good quality Velcro.
